Our Beginner Horsemanship Program is a collaboration between Remley Equestrian and Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department. We desire to share our love of horses with our community, so we designed a program that teaches basic horse knowledge while providing plenty of time in the saddle. Over four weekly session, participants will be comfortable handling horses on the ground and while mounted, understand types of riding disciplines, and have a basic understanding of horse breeds, colors, and parts of the horse. We have designed this program as a "starter session," giving riders a taste of riding, and the opportunity to continue on with horse sports. All sessions are limited to 5 riders.
Cost: $120 for 4 sessions
What to wear: Long pants and boots with a heel. Any person accompanying a rider must have close-toed shoes for safety reasons.
