The Beginner Horsemanship Program was created in 2019 as a collaboration between the Cape Girardeau Parks and Rec and Remley Equestrian Center. We designed this program to give those in our community an immersive riding experience in a safe and educational environment. Our program consists of four sessions where participants will learn how to:
- Safely handle a horse on the ground.
- Groom and saddle their own horse.
- Basic riding skills.

2025 Session Dates
**All Sessions are full. For those looking for a more intensive experience, consider enrolling in our Day Camps.
Sessions run on Tuesdays from 4-5pm
June Session: 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24
July Session: 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22
Cost: $120/ rider due by the first session
